Clay Middleton was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. Middlton currently serve as a Battalion Commander, 5th BN (SIG), 218th REGT (LDR) in Eastover, SC. I’m a native of Charleston, SC, grew up in Bayside Manor, Burke High School ‘99 and The Citadel ‘03. I’ve been in the SC Army National Guard for 22 years, earned the Bronze Star Medal, and deployed overseas twice. He is currently a Senior Vice President at Mercury, a global public affairs firm.
