Albert "Punkin" Henry Roberts, August 13, 1965 - October 23, 2022

Mr. Albert Henry Roberts, 57 of Ladson, SC., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Vibra Hospital of Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Mr. Roberts is the beloved husband of Mrs. Kathy Walker Roberts.

Albert Henry “Punkin” Roberts entered this world on August 13, 1965 to LeAndre Roberts and John Henry Roberts in Lincolnville, South Carolina.

Punkin was educated in the Charleston County Public School system. He went on to Job Corps in Bamberg S.C. where he received his painting certification.

Punkin gave his life fully over to Christ and have been a devoted member of Nazareth Holiness Church of Deliverance II, in Linconville, S.C. under the leadership of Bishop Jesse J. Jennings. As an active member of Nazareth Holiness Church, he served as President of the Usher Board, Assistant Youth Sunday School Teacher, was a Deacon, and later was elevated and to Minister.

Because of his faithfulness and dedication to the work of the Lord, Bishop Jesse J. Jennings appointed him as “Sexton of the Church (Keeper).”

On June 2, 2018, Punkin united in holy matrimony to Evangelist Kathy Mosteller. She affectionately called him “Pa Pa,” courtesy of the children of her daycare. To this union he gained 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Punkin was the epitome of a hardworking man. He was a loving husband and devoted man of God. He was skilled in landscaping and excellent in designing the yard. Punkin had a huge heart and loved to help others in any way he could.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Kathy R. Roberts, daughter, Twinika (Pastor Sharell) Eadie of Moncks Corner, S.C., son, Cordell Mosteller of London, U.K.
His surviving siblings’ brother, Steven B. Roberts (Mary) of Summerville, SC; sister, Leanetta E. (Elder Edward) Gilliard of Moncks Corner, SC. 4 grandchildren, 3 nephews and a host of cousins and friends. One special friend Elder Terrance O. (Talaesia) Jennings.

Public Viewing will be on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Serenity Mortuary, Inc., 740 N. Gum Street, Summerville, SC 29483

Celebration Of Life on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Service will be at Nazareth Holiness Church of Deliverance #2, 807 W. Carolina Avenue, Summerville, SC 29485

Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery on Gahagan Road in Summerville, SC 29485.

Florence Loretta Mazyck Brewton, September 3, 1933 - October 16, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Florence Loretta Mazyck Brewton of New York, formerly of Bonneau, SC and Goose Creek, SC, who transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory are: children, Donna V. B. King and Stuart Craig Brewton; grandchildren, Anthony C. King, Jr., Danae N. King, Justin R. King, Matthew E. King, Sia Hope Brewton, Sanaa Grace Brewton and Sidney Faith Brewton; siblings, Addie Lou Mazyck, Ann Rebecca Ravenell, Julia Belle M. (Samuel Sr.) Boyd, Myrtle (William) Nelson and Vida Joy Mazyck; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Home Going Celebration Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Jehovah Baptist Church, 704 Dennis Ridge Road, Bonneau, SC 29431, with viewing from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Peru Cemetery, St. Stephen, SC. Face masks are required at the viewing and service.

Wilhelmina Gethers Robinson, September 9, 1930 - October 27, 2022

Ms. Wilhelmina Gethers Robinson, 92, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 27, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Janet Green (Melvin), Debra James and Glen Gethers; special grandchildren: Shanel Simmons, and Joemaine Blake; and a host of other grands; sibling: Claretta Reeves and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Rev. Oscar Gethers, Sr., and Mary Ellen Gethers; husband: Joseph Robinson, Sr.; children: Clarence Gethers, Larry Gethers and Joseph Robinson Jr..

She was a retired Environmental Specialist with Roper Hospital.

Ivan Ricardo Smith, November 29, 1956 - October 22, 2022

On Saturday October 22, 2022; God in His infinite wisdom, called His son Ivan Ricardo Smith, 65, of Goose Creek, South Carolina from labor to reward.

Home-going Celebration for Mr.Ivan Ricardo will be on Saturday October 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM, Suburban Funeral Home Chapel.

There will be a viewing on Friday October 28, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Suburban Funeral Home Parlor.

The most precious memories of Ivan will resound in the life of his beloved wife Andre Venning Smith, his children; Temaria S. Smith, Alexis N. Manigault, Stephen L. (Suzanna) Bryant, and Arley C. Smith. Twelve grandchildren, his father; Richard Ray Clark, sisters; Muriel Whorley, Raysathean Duncan, brother; Richie Clark, sister in-law Annette Venning, Valerie (Tom) Hearn, Barbara Jenkins, Brothers in-law; Ronnie Jenkins, Louis Kinloch III, Wendell Kinloch, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

James Weston, June 24, 1946 - October 22, 2022

Mr. James Weston, 76, of McClellanville, SC, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

He leaves to cherish his wife: Delores Weston; children: Dion Wayne Weston, Faith G. Weston; grandchildren: Ashley Smith; Shalissa Smith, Da'Mari Smith, Chanique Woodward, and Dion V. Weston and Talayia Weston; sibling: Christina Collenton; sisters-in-law: Rosemary Rivers, Berta Winns, and Emily Woodberry, brothers-in-law: Earl Green, Sr., Thomas Collenton, George Garrett, Adam Garrett, Jr., and Ervin Woodberry. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie Weston and Clara Green Weston, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was retired.

Mrs. LaVerne Washington Frasier, 73, of Johns Island, SC entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

The family and friends of Mrs. LaVerne Washington Frasier are invited to attend her Home Going Service, 11am, Friday, October 28, 2022, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2718 River Road, Johns Island, SC 29455.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Walker’s Mortuary Chapel of Peace, from 3pm until 7pm. Mrs. Frasier will lie in state at Wesley United Methodist Church on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 10am until the hour of service.

She is survived by her beloved children: Thomasina L. Frasier, Stephanie M. Frasier, and Crystal P. Frasier; grandchildren; siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Please remember to wear your masks and continue to social distance.
