*Wando High School 50th Anniversary Event*

Wando is excited to announce that this is the high school's 50th Anniversary! To celebrate such an amazing milestone, Wando would love to welcome alumni back to their school on Friday, October 28 for a family fun event prior to the last home football game of the season.

Please visit the 50th Anniversary website for more information, and help spread the word to our alumni from 1973-2022! They are pre-selling alumni shirts and sweatshirts and “Future Warrior” youth shirts on the website to show your Warrior spirit.

*Latin American Festival Wannamaker County Park*

Sunday, Oct. 9, 12 - 2 p.m.

This annual tradition brings people together to celebrate Charleston's vibrant Latin and Caribbean cultures at one of the Lowcountry's favorite county parks. Festivities include non-stop music, traditional dance performances, folkloric artwork and crafts, and authentic food and beverages. *Cast Off Fishing Tournament at Mount Pleasant Pier*

Saturday, Oct. 15, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Anglers of all ages and experience levels are invited to catch fish, fun, and prizes at the Mount Pleasant Pier’s Cast Off Fishing Tournament series. The pier is built on pilings from the old Pearman Bridge, which have become a haven for many types of fish.

Fee: $10 ages 13 and up, $9 for members of the military, $8 seniors and ages 12 and under, and $5 fishing pass holders

Ages: All ages, chaperones are required for ages 15 and under.

*Wine Down Wednesday at Old Towne Creek County Park*

Wed, Oct. 19, 5 – 7 pm

Get tickets now as this event is expected to sell out early! Come Wine Down your Wednesday and explore Old Towne Creek County Park, one of West Ashley's hidden gems. Guests will enjoy wine and live music, while experiencing the beauty of this natural site. A commemorative wine glass is included with your admission. Food truck fare will be available for purchase on-site.

Fee: $20 in advance / Ages: 21 and up
