Ethel Lee Snipe Broderick, 76, of Mount Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

She was the loving mother of Vernon Snipe, Israel M. Broderick, and Adrian L. Smalls; grandmother of Aasha S. Brown (Antoine), Leticia Venning, Leah Snipe Jones, Zeniah Snipe, Adrianna K. A. Smalls, and twins, Kyrin P. Smalls, and Kadin W. Smalls; great grandmother of Jazmine N. Venning, Jabari O. Venning, Gary T. Waring, Jaylyn O. Waring, Messiah K. Bryant, Ashanti I. Venning-Horlbeck, and Ameai S. Brown; great grandmother of Layanna Green and great-great grandmother of Paisley O. Venning; sister of Thomas Snype (Henrietta); Gloria Snipe; aunt of special nephews, Joseph Marvin Snipe (Rev. Kim) and Jamie L. Snipe, special nieces: Albertha Bostic, Twila M. Syas (Bryan) and Carla Snipe along with many more loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; childhood friend of Genevive Ellis Habersham; special friend of Mamie Johnson Poole, Sherry A. Wigfall, Jervene Washington Graves, and Franciena Mazyck Rouse (Eugene).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Snipe, Sr. and Mary Collins Snipe; siblings: Isaac Snipe, Jr., Margaret Mary Snipe Campbell, Andrew Snipe, Sr., Ethel Mae Snipe-Coakley, Mary Alice Snipe Bostic, Betty E. Jenkins Simmons, and Elizabeth Scott Ellis, and Martha Snipe Alston; sister-in-law, Rosalind B. Snipe; brothers-in-law: Raymond Scott, Sr., William A. “Sonny” Bostic, Sr., Rev. Leonard R. Jenkins, Francis Simmons, John Alston, Sr., Lawrence “Humpy” Coakley, Jessie Ellis, Sr., and Alfred Campbell; nieces and nephews: Ronald Snipe, Tammy L. Alston, Timothy Bostic, Baby Boy Snipe, Maurice L. Snipe, Linda Mae Gregg, Otis W. Snipe and Lewretta Snipe Jerry; and special friend, Anna Mae Boykin (good buddy).

James Pressley, Jr., August 4, 1943 - September 14, 2022

"Time slips by and life does go on, but from our hearts, you will never be gone. We think about you and talk about you to, We will cherish the memories, but we wish we still had you!"

On Wednesday September 14, 2022; God in His infinite wisdom, called His son James Pressley Jr., 79, of St. Stephen, South Carolina from labor to reward. The most precious memories of James will resound in the life of his beloved wife Octavia Pressley, his children; Shirley (Kareem) Phyall, Calvin( Melvinia ) Scroggins, Tony Murray, James Murray, Arthur Murray, Kia Green, Yvette Life, Yvonne Life, Tylese Evans, Suzanna Pressley, and Octavius Pressley, sisters; Elizabeth Bradley and Zola Myers, brothers; Nathaniel Williams and Johnnell Williams. A host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

There will be a viewing on Thursday September 22, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Suburban Funeral Home Chapel

Interment will be in the Wesley Grove Cemetery in Cottageville, South Carolina.

He is survived by his children: Larry Brown, Jr. (Teressa), Kevin Brown (Valarie), and Felicia Robinson (special step-daughter); grandchildren: Rhyshein Hassell, Keisha Hassell, Larry Hassell, Peaches Hassell, Lallani Brown, Blessings Brown, Shalonda Brown, and Kevin Brown, Jr.; siblings: Elone Stevens, George Brown, Jr. (Mary), Mary Carter, Roberta Brown, Robert Brown (Patricia), Vanessa Brown, and Freddie Brown; special cousins, The Honorable Lala Bea and Rev. Leroy Fyall; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Smith Brown; parents, George (Albertha) Brown, Sr., and his brother, Nathaniel Brown.
