Pastor Sam Gourdine - Abiding Word Family Ministries

Pastor Sam Gourdine is a multi-gifted teacher and builder. With over 20 years in ministry and clothed with an apostolic anointing, he brings to front a rich anointing that is solid in foundation, yet fresh and current to reach today’s generation, empowering them to explore the depths of God.

He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in criminal justice from Jersey City State University, Master of Arts Degree in Vocational Counseling from S.C. State University, and a Diploma in Ministry Development from Word Ministry Institute, in association with Light Ministry Institute from Houston, Texas.

At the leading of the Holy Spirit, in August 1996, Pastor Sam Gourdine became the Pastor and Founder of Abiding Word Family Ministries with his wife, three children, and two nephews at their home in Pinopolis, South Carolina.

In April 1997, Pastor Sam and his family left the birthplace of their ministry and relocated to a rented location in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. During that time, Pastor Sam continued to teach the word of God, building upon a foundation of biblical principles that created spiritual, financial, and numerical growth. This was also a critical time where their faith was developed and increased.

After three years at that location, the Holy Spirit led Pastor Sam and his congregation to purchase six acres of land. On these six acres of land, three buildings were constructed; The Jehovah Jireh Care Unit Building, a 6,600 square foot sanctuary, and the church’s gazebo.

A few years after completing those projects, AWFM was able to acquire an additional four acres of property where we are currently building our Family Life Center building. Pastor Sam and Elect Lady Annette are spiritually connected with Drs. I.V. and Bridget Hilliard from Houston, Texas who are their spiritual parents. Pastor Sam and Elect Lady Annette were inducted into the Association of Independent Ministries in October 2002.

Pastor Sam has been married to his wife for 30 years and they have three children; Minister Jessica, Jason, and Nicholas who all serve in various areas of ministry. Pastor Sam is an asset to the Kingdom of God. He is impacting the world and speaking change into earth.
