Bishop Carl M. Grant February 24, 1936 - August 21, 2022

Bishop Carl Marion Grant, 86, of Johns Island, SC passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his residence. He is the beloved husband of Mrs. Jacqueline L. Grant; father of Brian, Jacquetta (Herbert) Boone, Raynard, Tia, Karl (Ceola), Jason, Delores, Heatherlyn, and Timothy (Kamilah); grandfather of Camryn, Zorie, Meagan, Carrie, Olivia, Brandon, Lilah, Iva and Megan; great grandfather of Kylie Joe; brother of Doris Thomas (New York), Hermean (Leon) Yeadon (North Carolina) and Deborah Bryan (South Carolina). He was Pastor Emeritus of Greater St. Peter’s Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ and owner of CMG Demolition and Renovation Preparation Services.

Victoria Green October 01, 1926 - August 21, 2022

Mrs. Victoria Green, 95, of North Charleston, affectionately known as "The Queen" and "Greyhound", passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022. She is the widow of the late Benny T. Green, mother of Verna Green, her caretaker, Loretta Green, Dravidi Rasheed, the late Benjamin Green, and Kern Green. She has 15 grandchildren, a host of great grands and great great grands, a special great grand, Willow Allen-Joshua, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 o'clock at Brownswood Cemetery in Summerville, SC. The family will receive friends at 8173 Greenridge Road, N. Charleston, SC.

Leslie Maria Bratton May 14, 1959 - August 16, 2022

Martha Lee Williams May 18, 1941 - August 22, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Martha Lee Williams of St. Stephen, SC (Alvin community), who transitioned into eternal life on Monday, August 22, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Mr. Earl Williams, Jr.; daughter, Mrs. Wanda (Kenneth) Rivers; grandchildren, Kenneth Jr., LaKendra and Demetre Rivers; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jasmine Rivers and Marco Greene, Jr.; siblings, Mr. Clarence (Ethel) Gethers and Mrs. Rose Mae Martin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to the Covid pandemic, the family will not be receiving friends at their residence. They are grateful for your prayers and understanding during this difficult time.

Gerald Marvin Lawrence July 22, 1964 - August 20, 2022

On Saturday August 20, 2022; God in His infinite wisdom, called His son Gerald Marvin Lawrence, 58, of Huger, South Carolina from labor to reward.

The most precious memories of Marvin will resound in the life of his beloved wife Joann Lawrence, his children; Jared and Marva Lawrence, his parents; JoAnn Edwards and Linzie Muldrow, sister; Terina (Victor) Muldrow-Brown, uncles; Joe (Carol) Lawrence, Sam (Jeanette) Lawrence, and Herbert (Julia) Lawrence, aunts; Vivian Lawrence, Ella Mae Lawrence, Ida Mae Lawrence, and Debra Lawrence, brothers and sisters in Law: Judith (Jerry) Stackhouse, Bruce (Mia) Enalls, Robin Cobb and Harvey (Mindy) Enalls. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Erica Green, Frankie LaCher Green and Maria Ray (Michael); grandchildren: Robert Young III, Ra'Ven Young, Caleb Diggs, Carsyn Diggs, Mason Macon, and Madison Cary; siblings: James Goodwine (Louistine), Lillian Goodwine, and Anglish Goodwine; and sister-in-law, Sharon Green. She was preceded in death by her husband: Frankie "The Big Bopper" Green; parents: Elijah Goodwine and Evelyn Goodwine Perry.
