Apostle Dr. W. Lenard King, Faith Covenant Cathedral

Apostle W. Lenard King is the son of the late Superintendent Jessie and Mother Elizabeth King. Apostle King was born on August 10, in the city of Charleston, South Carolina. Apostle King graduated from Charles A. Brown High School in Charleston, SC and continued his education at the International Seminary of Plymouth, Florida.

Apostle King is the proud father of three children, Swancea, Alex, Kierra, Kennedy and the grandfather of three.
Apostle King received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of 15 where a revival was conducted at Victory Church of God in Christ under the leadership of his former Pastor Superintendent Robert Coaxum. In 1986, destiny warranted that they move his membership to St. Stephen Church of God in Christ where his father was appointed Pastor, located in Walterboro, SC. It was there that he accepted his calling after several years of waiting until the timing of God was set, under the leadership of his father Superintendent Jessie King, Jr.

Apostle King served in the Southern District of the SC State Jurisdiction of the C.O.G.I.C. as District Evangelist. Apostle King also served as the Secretary of the Elder Counsel for the Church of God in Christ, SC Jurisdiction.
In 1990, Apostle King served as a helper to his father as the associate Pastor of the St. Stephen Church of God in Christ. He also served as a helper to his former Pastor Superintendent Robert Coaxum as his health started to fail at the Victory C.O.G.I.C in Charleston, SC for several years. Thereafter, he served as an assistant for one year at Jacob Temple C.O.G.I.C. located in Ridgeland, SC, where the late Mother Louise Dantzler was Shepherd Mother, under the leadership of Bishop Johnnie James Johnson interim Pastor at the time and Jurisdictional Bishop for the state of SC.

Apostle King is a man of God who has been chosen for this hour to preach to the poor, the brokenhearted and recovering of sight to the blind. For the past fourteen years God has used him mightily he served in several capacities:

● Southeastern District Evangelist

● Assistant Pastor of the St. Stephens C.O.G.I.C., in Walterboro, SC

● Office of Secretary of the Elder’s Council, C.O.G.I.C, SC Jurisdiction

● Vice President State Evangelism Department, C.O.G.I.C, SC Jurisdiction

● He studied at the International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida

Apostle King has traveled extensively throughout the state of South Carolina and other states conducting revivals and conferences as well as other countries, such as Germany and Korea.

In 1996, Apostle King joined with the Holy Ghost Jubilee Ministries where he served as one of the National Coordinators and State President of the Southeastern Region and has traveled at length during this time.

In 1996, under the leadership of the Holy Ghost, Apostle King founded “New Covenant Evangelist Center '' then located in Charleston, SC. In 2019 under the leading of the Lord he changed the name of the church to “Faith Covenant Cathedral '' and moved to a new facility located in North Charleston, SC.

In 2002, Apostle King under the leading of the Almighty God, became a part of the Oasis International Fellowship under the leadership of Chief Apostle T. Andre’ Mason of Emporia, VA.
In 2003, Apostle King was chosen and affirmed to the Apostolic call in the Kingdom by Chief Apostle T. Andre’ Mason. Prior to the affirmation ceremony eight churches were connected to Apostle King, which gave birth to Covenant Fellowship International, which Apostle King established after connection of the ministries began.
Apostle King joined the Unity Fellowship International in 2015 under the leadership of Apostle Nelson Williams. He is on the Board of Bishop and was appointed to the position of International Evangelist. Apostle King received his Doctorate of Divinity in March of 2018.
